Presentation

Overall, I think that the presentation did not go well. This is because we only showed the video, as we were told that we were not going to do a presentation by Nikki. We had a presentation power point ready but was told not to use it by Nikki. So, we did not show the posters, logo, or drawings in full, which would have given better context to the video and campaign. Another thing that went bad about the presentation is that we decided to each talk about what we had done, so Jo would speak about the video, me and Sophie would talk about the posters, Cameron talk about the logo, Pawel would talk about the drawings, and Nikki would talk about the general idea that we had. However, because we did not have the presentation up it was awkward to try to talk and describe the work we had done without people being able to see them. But also none of us knew what to say about anything because we had not gone through any of the things that we should have spoken about.

The drawings Pawel drew these. I think that the drawings are quite good, they show the types of people that we are aiming the video towards. However I think that the drawing of the guy shining someone's shoes, could have been closer up to the guy shining the shoes because he’s meant to be the focus of the picture and its difficult to tell who is meant to be the focal point. Also I think it could have shown his face as it would have made it seem more personal. Pawel was meant to draw a second set of the same characters but in the future where they can be whoever they want to be. This would have worked better for the video as it would show a significate change. The logo Cameron made the logo. At first we decided that we did not need a logo, as it was not really needed as part of the project.  However Cameron decided to make it. He first drew it out on paper to mock it up. Then he made the final version on photoshop, ho...

Team reflection/rant

This project has been one of the worst that I have ever done in my whole life. This is due to the team breaking down and being absolutely horrible. Nikki was put in the role of team leader; however, she was the worst team leader we could have had. The project began well, and we decided who was going to do what task, Nikki said that she was going to be writing the script, the casebook and finding an actor. She did not write a script and told us that it was going to be improvised on the day that we were filming. Me, Sophie and Jo had all chased her multiple times to make sure that she was going to complete the task, she told us that she had made a draft the night before, however she turned up with nothing and told us that it is going to be improvised. She also did not find an actor and didn’t tell us until the day before filming. This meant that we found it difficult to find anyone at such short notice. Me and Sophie Knight were only able to find someone because they were part o...

Filming

On the day of filming we had most things ready, so we had the greenscreen booked and the equipment hired. We did not however have an actor to be in our video, it was meant to be Nikki’s task to find one, but she was unable to. Me and Sophie K were able to get someone from our class to do it, Jacob Battersby. When we got to the greenscreen the technician helped us to set everything up, including the camera, the sound and the greenscreen lights. Another one of Nikki’s tasks was to write a script, however she decided last minute that it would be improvised instead. Then when we went into the greenscreen room she wrote some questions as guides and explained what the project was about to the actor, even though we had plenty of time stood outside waiting for the room to be cleared. I did the sound recording, I had to make sure that it was recording and that the sound did not go too high, by turning a knob if the sound bar went into the red as this meant that it was too loud. ...
