Design Timeline

27/07/18

We were split into groups and we were given a set of words that we had to find the meaning for then put them into order of when they should be done if we were to work on a project.
These are the words that I had to find the meanings for:

Design mark-up-A design mark-up is a sequence of characters or symbols that are used when processing a file to indicate how the file should look when it is printed or displayed.

Brainstorming- Brainstorming is a process for generating creative ideas, through free thinking and group discussion.

Design sprints- Design sprints are a 5-day process for answering any critical business questions through design, prototyping and testing ideas with customers.

Monday- The group works with experts to identify the ultimate goal of the sprint and map out the challenges they have to deal with through the week.

Tuesday- The team starts exploring a variety or solutions.

Wednesday- The group looks at the solutions they came up with and decide on which was the best. They then expand upon this idea.

Thursday- The group turns the storyboards into a working prototype designed to mimic the final approach and have it ready for testing.

Friday- The final prototype is shown to prospective users and its usability is tested.

Interaction patterns-Interactive patterns isa way that the teacher and the learners can interact in the class. Using the right interactive pattern is important to the success of any activity and the achievement of the aims.

We put them in this order:

Ideas- Design sprites- Brainstorming- Design research, Divergent thinking- Personas- Competitive analysis- Project kick-off- Wire-framing- Card sorting- Visual design- User journey- Interaction patters- Information artictecturhe- Prototype- Interactive design- GEL- Design markup- Usability testing.
